Investing with Mana

Professional excellence and grounded execution

Stephanie holds the CFA® charter, which is one of the most respected designations in finance. This charter is widely considered to be the gold standard in the field of investment analysis. With more than a decade of experience in hedge funds, risk management, bonds, equities, and alternative investments, Mana FLD is a smart choice for creative and personalized wealth management.

We invest our clients’ assets on a discretionary basis among various investment strategies, with a strong bias for liquid securities, primarily consisting of exchange traded funds and mutual funds with low fees and tax management. We utilize institutional capital market assumptions on risk and return as the basis for our investment forecasts. Our primary view is that capital markets are efficient, however we believe there are pockets of inefficiency and may allocate to investments that enable our clients to participate in these strategies.

We know that managing a portfolio of investments is important to the successful execution of Financial Life Design.

Investing with your unique vision in mind…

We believe in thorough, personal discussions to identify client goals and objectives for investment. Our decisions are ultimately based on each client’s particular circumstances.

Using a goals based investment approach, we construct and manage portfolios with consideration for the time horizon of each goal, the investment objectives, the client’s risk tolerance and their tax situation. Tax management is a critical part of the portfolio construction process. We employ a proactive use of asset location - seeking to place assets in the optimal account structure to minimize income tax implications and/or maximize estate tax effectiveness.

Wealth Management Services

In addition to providing portfolio management services, we provide account management services that deliver an excellent client experience and alleviate administrative duties from the client.

These include:

  • Opening, closing and transferring of accounts

  • Reviewing titling and beneficiary designations on accounts

  • Establishing a user name for client to directly access custodian account

  • Linking household accounts so all accounts are visible to each member of the household

  • Reporting cost basis for each position, as needed

  • Standing instructions for approved transactions

  • Processing cash transfers, into or out from other financial accounts.

Priority mapping and client satisfaction

Account supervision is guided by the stated objectives of the client (e.g., maximum capital appreciation, growth, income, growth + income, and ethical considerations), as well as tax considerations. Clients may impose reasonable restrictions on investing in certain securities, types of securities, or industry sectors.

Our standard advisory fee is based on the market value of the assets under management and is calculated using a blended rate as follows:

The advisory fee is a blended fee and is calculated by assessing the percentage rates using the predefined levels of assets as shown in the above chart, resulting in a combined weighted fee.
